Who is Mario Paladini?
Born in Argentina, Mario Paladini moved abroad at a young age to study in the U.S. and later in Germany. He is a networker, entrepreneur, and a social trader on eToro. Mario organizes networking events with his company Club Globals, typically focusing on tech or crypto themes, and serves as a World Innovation Forum Ambassador.
Mario is easily recognizable due to his colorful glasses, which help him stay focused on his goals while simultaneously sparking conversations and making him memorable. He started with large black glasses but eventually changed them to different colors as part of his evolution. Currently, he is on his sixth color, green. How long have you been trading?
I’ve been involved in trading forex, stocks, and crypto for 5 years. Initially, I used MetaTrader before moving to eToro. eToro’s user-friendly platform, offering a wide range of instruments, is hard to beat. What are your favorite currencies to trade?
In forex, my main focus is on GBP, USD, EUR, NZD, AUD, and JPY. Some of the most intriguing currency pairs I follow include GBP/NZD, GBP/AUD, GBP/JPY, EUR/NZD, and NZD/USD.
What about cryptocurrencies: Where do you invest?
Currently, I hold long positions in Bitcoin (BTC), ETH, Tron (TRX), ADA, Solana (SOL), and Decentraland (MANA), among others. In terms of the balance between crypto and other investments, I aim to keep around 15% of my portfolio in cryptocurrencies.

My trading approach is guided by a proprietary algorithm that incorporates fundamental, technical, and sentimental analysis. The algorithm is based on value investing principles from investors like Warren Buffett, Benjamin Graham, and Peter Lynch, developed in partnership with a German collaborator. Currently, 80% of my portfolio is dedicated to value investing, while 20% is allocated to crypto. Many of the stocks I invest in also offer dividends. I aim for medium risk (5/10) and my goal is to outperform major indices annually.
When do you expect the crypto winter to end?
Markus from CryptoChipy shares his opinion: My personal estimate is that the crypto winter could last between 5-6 months to 1 year.

Do you ever go short?
I’ve taken short positions opportunistically with stocks, but in the cryptocurrency market, I primarily take long positions.
